Sure Start North Children's Centres provide employment services in partnership with  Newcastle Futures and Jobcentre Plus.

Newcastle Futures - A different approach to findng a job

Newcastle Futures offers a free and confidential service which specialises in giving advice and support to unemployed Newcastle Residents. Their dedicated Customer Co-ordinators are willing to listen and help identify what steps each individual can take to move into training or employment.

Newcastle Futures services are tailored to your individual needs and can help you to:

  • Indentify your skills
  • Link you into training
  • Help you search for a job
  • Help completing CVs and application forms
  • Advice on restructuring debt
  • Financial assistance

Newcastle Futures work in community venues across the city. Local drop in sessions in the Sure Start North Children's centre area take place:

  • Fawdon Community Centre, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.
  • The Kenton Centre, Mondays, morning and afternoon sessions.
  • Sure Start North Moor Children’s Centres, Kenton, Thursday Afternoons 1:30 - 4pm.

Work Clubs are free sessions for those searching for work. You can go there for support with:
